How are you able to provide direct deposit and benefits to cannabis clients?

We are a PEO (Professional Employer Organization). When a Canna-business signs on as a client, UPsource becomes the “Employer of Record” with all government agencies. You keep running your company the same as before. This legal tax structure allows us to provide payroll, benefits, worker’s comp, and HR services, truly transfer the risk and liability to UPsource.

Does this mean I lose control of my people?

Nope. Our contract explicitly limits what actions UPsource may perform. Our job is to ensure a safe working environment for ALL employees and ensure all applicable employment laws are followed. We do NOT direct the day-to-day operations or your business. The only thing you lose is the worry of doing something wrong.

How much?
